- I’ve been searching the interwebs for advice on my Pilea Peperomiodes plant. It took me forever to actually find one and I don’t want it languishing on my watch. I found a delightful young man that shares his house plant wisdom on YouTube and he has several on the general upkeep as well as repotting the plant itself and propagating its babies. Not to mention a host of other videos imparting his knowledge on house plant care
- Well this is an interesting development: Jessie Tyler Ferguson (of Modern Family fame) will be hosting the reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Addition. I’ll be frank. I never was a fan of the original season and the host Ty Pennington. He was a bit too manic for me. I was always interested to hear the behind the scenes of the original version. How families were unprepared to pay for the exorbitant taxes their makeovers cost them along with the various reports that the recipients of the makeovers weren’t actually as deserving or as destitute as they made out to be. Hopefully it won’t be a sham as the its predecessor seems to have been. And I do love JTF.
- How about some all American summer living inspiration? Sugar Pie Farmhouse Instagram account will provide all that. Makes me want to bake a pie like it is my civic duty!
Happy Friday! High five – we made it to the weekend! This week was unusual for me in that Rick was out of town for the first half of it. I’ll be honest – at first I thought I would enjoy some alone time but to be honest after the first hour or so I was over it. I did make good use of his time away and did some major cleaning of bathrooms and polishing silver tea sets. It’s just weird being on your own when you spend almost 24 x 7 with a person. It’s hard to relax. And forget about sleeping properly. I don’t think I fell asleep properly until about 5:00am all the nights he was gone.
He’s home now so all’s well in my world.
We had a fun Thursday night evening because my niece and her two boys were in town so we had them (and her parents) over for dinner. I made the best eggplant dish that I will share in the Fall because it really is a Fall dish. Luckily we had very modest temperatures today and could eat outside and enjoy the lower temperatures.
Have a wonderful weekend!
