Goodbye Puget Sound…I’ll miss you and your totally reasonable temperatures (today: Seattle 65 degrees F. Granite Bay 101 degrees F.).
Let’s play "Spy the National Landmark"….
I heard it rained in Washington ALL the time – not a drop while I was there.
Sorry for the poor quality of this one – I had to really zoom in on it – I was looking out the window trying to figure out why it looked so familiar. Then I realized it was Crater Lake. The one place my Dad wants to see before he dies. He has been to every single state except for Hawaii (and for some frustrating reason I can’t convince him that he should go – even if it’s just for a weekend and I’d certainly be happy to escort him…). He wants to see Crater Lake and stay at the lodge there but man they book up fast. I wanted to take him last year and they were booked up for about a year and a half.
Look at that – I’m practically home!

What great photos! The one thing I love about flying is looking out the window and seeing the land below. Once I saw Niagara Falls, amazing! I love the one with the Golden Gate Bridge.
Thank you for your wonderful photos from the air – a nice treat on a rainy English summer day. I had my fist visit to USA last November when I visited New York – a long time dream. Crater Lake is amazing as is the Bridge.
Boy, did you ever luck out with your seat assignment. When ever I fly, all the interesting stuff is out the windows on the other side of the plane… Great photos and welcome home!
Did you see me waving hello. You flew over my house (I live on the puget sound). I hope you had a wonderful time here in WA. Clarice
We missed you!! Welcome back!! I have LOADS to tell you.
The Golden Gate bridge looks so small from way up there! I finally walked across it a couple years ago. I lived here my whole life and have driven over it so many times but never walked it. It was breathtaking seeing from a different view. Now I need to go visit the Winchester Mystery House…another tourist thing so close to home but I’ve never been inside.
Your pictures gave me goosebumps! Priceless!! I feel the need to fly off somewhere!
WOW–Those are fantastic picture! It’s like we’re there with you! Hope you can get to those places with your dad…Happy weekend to you! :o)
Your pic. of the G.G.Bridge made me homesick! Guess I always took California for granted. Now I miss all the beauty and diversity we were surrounded by. Not that I don’t enjoy/love the beautiful state of Oregon
‘Love the bridge photo…so interesting to see it as so very small since usually it’s such a bigger than life landmark…
