Hello and Happy Friday!
We have been entertaining our granddaughter all week so no faves for today. She is a joy but is at an age that requires constant attention. We have had a number of adventures geared for a two and a half year old. We went to the library for reading hour on rainy Monday and checked out some books (the self checkout process was of more interest to her than the actual books). Tuesday we explored the garden and then went to a park. Wednesday was quite the busy day with first going to Ardenwood Historical Farm where we fed chickens, pet a rabbit, saw goats, cows, pigs, sheep and even some peacocks. Then in the afternoon we went to another park where she and two other children had quite the sand castle operation going on.
Thursday (today as I am typing this…) we are going to make cookies and go play in the fountains downtown. It is supposed to be quite warm so it will be the perfect afternoon for that.
Friday (today as you are reading this…) is up in the air. We may take another trip to the library and hit up another park. We are returning her to her parents Friday evening and then I am going to rest for the remainder of the weekend! Toddler wrangling is exhausting!
I will be making some macarons for Easter. We have our annual Easter brunch at my father’s house and I will bring those along with a couple of other more traditional brunch offerings (like Mimosas).
