Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

The week in review:

SFS5

February 20 – D is for Daisies

February 21 – Q is for Quilt

February 22 – M is for Milkglass

February 23 – S is for Set-up.  The gyrations I go through to try to get my feeble light to cooperate with me.  This is the best spot (morning light comes in through the windows on the right) but I don't always want the view through the window so I put up vellum to block it and then hang sheers over it so it doesn't look like a piece of paper taped to the window.  The spray bottle is to smooth out wrinkles in the cloth on the table.  The foam board is to bounce some of the light coming in from the left onto the subject matter.  The cat is just there to ensure things run smoothly.

February 24 – C is for Chicken Eggs (I found some delicious light in another part of the house – I think some of this photography stuff is starting to sink in…)

SFS4

February 25 – V is for Vegetable.  It's gotten to the point that I'm wandering around the produce aisle picking up various vegetables and thinking "hmmm – this would photograph well…"  Not the most interesting picture but I was trying to take a photograph of things of various thicknesses and have them all be in focus.  Didn't quite get there but it's close.

February 26 – X is for Railroad X-ing.  Captured out a moving train.  I do like the small town feel of this picture.  I don't even know what town I was rolling through when I took this.

Wonderful photos Andrea! The cat is hysterical…how is it critters know just where the center of the action is. When cooking a big meal, why is it my dog is sprawled out dead center in the middle of the action in the kitchen? Everyone has to walk over her…like no one would dare expect the darling to move. Lol! Again, great photos and info.

L is for like. As in: I like all of your pics. (Though the daisies and eggs might be the favorites.)

I think kitty is not there to ensure things run smoothly, methinks shes there is jump up on that inviting table of milkglass as soon as you leave the room! C is for Cats and Crashes!

Your photography skills are becoming more and more refined! And I LOVE the lamp in the background of your Q is for Quilt photo.

Instagram post 2341822581690526825_13069943 There are more sprinkles on the floor and in someone's tummy than on the cake pops.
Instagram post 2340945580020536121_13069943 Guess who is getting some Grandma time this weekend! Rick thought this was a little over the top but I just wanted to fulfill my Holiday fairy tent fantasies.
Instagram post 2340488496363792013_13069943 I ran out of day (and daylight) to take a real photo so you get a pithy saying instead. Happy weekend! You are all dear to me. Just thought you should know that.
