Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

1.22.12

Okay – trying something new here.  You know I'm trying to do a picture a day for the entire year.  I was thinking on Sundays I could do the week in review.  We'll see how it goes.

01162012

1/16 – Cleaned my garage.  I bought pretty (to me) containers for bird seed and dusted the cobwebs out of my garden clogs and wellies.

01172012

1/17 – Took a walk out to the creek to check things out before the rain started.

01182012

1/18 – New feeders are up and are successful!  Note:  We do not get colorful birds here in No. California.  These are quite glamorous.

01192012

1/19 – Playing with flash.

01202012

1/20 – Eight years ago my mother passed away.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her.  In her honor I bought white flowers and put them in a blue and white vase.

01212012

1/21 – Hello – this looks like a repeat.  I was just playing with the light (the 1/19 was taken at night, with a flash).

01222012

1/22 – I am SOOO coming back as a cat in my next life.

I hope this wasn't too boring.  I'll try not to use my daily pics in blog posts during the week so the images will be fresh and interesting.

My condolences on the loss of your mother, but what a lovely tribute to her. My mum died just over a year ago and I often remember her with flowers. She was also a big fan of simple and charming arrangements.

The arrangement in honor of your mom was just beautiful… love the vase and the white flowers. Also loved the jars of buttons! My grandmother had this huge tin of buttons that I loved playing with as a child, so this brought back memories.

Laughed my butt off at the cat photo. Tough life going there!

Not boring at all…I like the recap. Pics are very nice.

Eight years. Wow. I know you miss your Mom but I also know she is watching over you.

Belle! That is not a ladylike position. Put your legs together!

OMGosh that soooo looks like my cat! She’s long haired and mostly black except on her feet and her cheast and belly! I often see her laid out on her back with her feet sticking out every which way! I too would come back as a cat…as long as I could get a good human! TFS

Instagram post 2340945580020536121_13069943 Guess who is getting some Grandma time this weekend! Rick thought this was a little over the top but I just wanted to fulfill my Holiday fairy tent fantasies.
Instagram post 2340488496363792013_13069943 I ran out of day (and daylight) to take a real photo so you get a pithy saying instead. Happy weekend! You are all dear to me. Just thought you should know that.
