I have started working on the prototype of the annual Halloween Party invitation. I feel each year that I need to top myself. Kind of like Ryan and his Halloween costumes.
I did do a mock-up but will withhold clear pictures until I receive some rubberstamps I've ordered for the final product.
I discovered this online rubberstamp purveyor and I love them! Stamp Francisco You would think they would be local to me but turns out they are based out of Washington. They only do online orders so it doesn't really matter where they are located.
Can I just say how hard it is to find grey paper? Why is that? I went to my local stamp shop in Roseville (The Stamp Art Shoppe – fabulous artsy stamps. Not too much of the cutesy which I abhor) and they didn't have any grey. Went to Michael's (who has an abysmal stamp selection – why even bother?) – nothing. I ended up with some silvery paper for my prototype and will try to a couple of shops local to my dad before I give up and try ordering online.
Now I just need to figure out my costume….

Try your local printer or print/copy shop for the gray paper. Ours have various weights from typing paper to cardstock in gray and you can buy it by the sheet. Can’t wait to see the finished invitation… and of course your costume, when you get that far!

You might want to try Staples or OfficeMax for your gray paper. They usually carry some printer paper suitable for professional looking resumes… just a though!

I have an older box of stationery here in the drawer that my husband has. So maybe you could consider using stationery as the paper? Rather than just plain bond and/or the usual copy paper? It has a faint stripe design as well that makes it pretty neat.

p.s. i forgot to say that the stationery is grey.
