My friend Kath gave me this little guy - said that since he was blue (he looks a little green in my iPhone pics) and a moon and all that she wanted me to have him.
She wasn't sure of the provenance except that he is French and was dug up in some excavation (explaining the rusty bits on him).
He appears to be bisque china and he has a little hole on the top of his head like he is meant to be a little vase.
I adore him. I have him sitting on my Ikea shelf in my office/dining room/studio so I can look at him all day long. Thanks Kath! :o)

I saw this – http://joannagoddard.blogspot.com/2010/06/guest-post-summer-camping-trip.html – and thought of you. funnily enough I was just thinking the other day (before i saw this) hmmm, wasn’t Andrea making vacation pages…wonder if she has made any more.

He’s really cool! LOL, wouldn’t it be cool if you could take him to “Antiques Road Show” if it ever came around your way? He looks very old!
Thanks so much for the nice comment on the apron I made. I like that zig-zag bottom, too. Now that I know what I did wrong (that made it so hard to do) I might just try my hand at another apron. I’d do a half one this time–the criss-cross straps totally befuddle me when I put this thing on, LOL!
