Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

Who’s in charge around here?

Well I guess that answers that.

I spent the morning replanting the pots on the deck.  Belle oversaw the entire operation, making sure I wasn't slacking off.  She was none to pleased about the dirt on the deck, let me tell you.  She looks cross, doesn't she?

I have the hardest time finding pale colored flowers around here.  Everything is hot pink, dark purple or fiery orange.  Not my colors at all.  I managed to find enough pale yellow, pink and blue to fill six of the pots.  They are all kind of meager looking right now so I'll wait until they fill out a bit to take more pictures.

Belle looks so pretty supervising. My cats always supervise all yard work.

Cats make excellent supervisors! Looks like Bella did a good job.

I like paler colors, too…it’s hard to find options beyond hot pink and bright purple, isn’t it?

She does look cranky. Maybe she thinks you are going to try and get her to help. You put me to shame. I have nothing planted in my pots yet!

My husband and I go around and around about the color of the annuals. He wants those dark, intense colors and I think pale ones look better in our shady garden. Our Home Depot has impatiens in mixed 6-packs (which he likes), or all one color (like I like) but I have to sneak over there by myself and get them planted before he realizes it.

Whoa! Belle is certainly giving someone the evil eye.
