Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

Don’t try calling me…

So my cellphone got flushed down the toilet.

I don't want to be graphic so I'll just say that it was in the front pocket of my capris (which I think Tim Gunn has banned) and then….it was over.  No chance to react.

I so didn't want to have to buy a new phone right now.  Not to mention my sim card is in the septic tank.  Hope those enzymes like Vivaldi's Four Seasons since that was my ringtone.

I've have been uber busy with work this week – next week will be the same.  So I'll be a bit absent for a while.  It's been good crazy at work though – finishing up documentation (love doing this), figuring out processes (love this even more), getting yelled at by the various towers that need the processes (don't love this so much).

I received my Lecien squirrel fabric and I'm hoping to cut out my apron this weekend.  Also I have a NEW project in mind.  I'm all enamored with crazy patchwork quilting and all the embellishments you can do.  I bought a bunch of ivory colored fabric swatches and I have an opulent pillow in mind.  Stay tuned!

Just don't call.

Andrea, the same sort of thing happened with my son, only he got his out of the toilet before it was flushed……well, it was an iphone…gotta try for a rescue, right? It worked for a while, then finally bit the dust. He just got a new one this past week. Enjoy your phoneless life……you’ll have to get back into it before long..a necessity of modern life. Have a good weekend and enjoy your new love of quilting!! Pat

That is too tragic and funny! I once did that with a favorite watch (one of those huge 90’s futuristic metal ones) that was in my front pocket. I’ll never forget that moment of shock, watching it go down the drain with nothing I could do about it. That said, life without cell phone is bliss! Make sure you enjoy it and try using a pay phone at least once!

What a cute post. You always bring out the smiles. Sorry about the phone but just think if it hadn’t happened we would not have enjoyed smiling with you!!

    Ooh, sorry about your phone!

My car keys and clicker fell out of my pocket right before flushing on a field trip with my girls. I, of course, had to fish them out or I couldn’t get home. Ewww. Surprisingly, the clicker continued working for a while…

Hey that happened to me as well. Well it just went in and I fished it out, but still, didn’t work. What a hassle. Same scenario as well, just slid right out of my pocket.
