• Pinterest blew up with repins of these printable chalkboard gift tags.  I know the chalkboard thing should be played out by now but I still love it.

Less than three weeks until Spring!  I can already feel it in the air. The days are warming up earlier and they are getting longer.  

We need to get through the month of March and then in April we can start planning the move into our new home.  We are just ITCHING to get in there and putting our stamp on things.

• Any special plans for the Oscars?  We are going to play Oscar Bingo again.  We had a blast with it last year
• And, as usual, we will serve elegant hors d'ouvres and canapes while we watch.  We may not have Henry Winston jewels or the red carpet but we can have Chili Lime Shrimp Cups and fancy cocktails

• I'm not one to wear a lot of color but these earrings have just enough pop of color without overwhelming me

I hope everyone has a splendid weekend planned.  Our weekends are rather free-form these days since we aren't actively looking for a house and since we don't have a house that requires weekend chores (yet!).  We are in limbo.  We have been checking out our new town.  Trying to get to know it better before we move in.

• This isn't a pretty link but the Chip It tool is fun.  You upload a picture (or enter the url of one) and it will generate paint chips from the colors.  Here's what it can do.  Kind of fun!
• Okay this is totally a day late but isn't this a cute necklace?  Very cupid-ish.
• I think these downloads would make cute coasters and just as soon as I have a craft room (soon!!) I'm going to try it

Yesterday we got to spend a couple of hours in a our soon to be new home.  It was heaven to get to poke around, take measurements and dream about how we are going settle in and decorate.  I cannot wait to share pictures with all of you!  

We were having the home inspection done and both our realtor and the seller's realtor were there.  We were talking about just knowing when a house is right for you.  Our realtor said she can see it in her clients' eyes.  The seller's realtor said that if the house feels like it is hugging you when you walk in then it is the one. That's exactly how I felt when I stepped into the front door of this house.  Like it gave me a big old welcoming hug.

Now we aren't sure how to spend our weekends now that we aren't house hunting.  I'm sure we'll figure out something though.

Sorry for the late posting.  It appears at the moment the most I have in me is a weekly Friday Favorites and even that was slow coming this week.  

House hunting is kicking into higher gear.  Up until now we have been spending almost every weekend exploring areas on our own but yesterday we met with a realtor (who we really really like) and actually went inside a few houses.  Nothing we could see putting an offer on but still a good exercise.   All had something good about it but at least one fatal flaw.  Location mostly – or in the case of one house the fact it was sliding down a hill into a creek!

But every house we look at and reject gets us that much closer to really understanding what we truly want in a home.
