Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

Smokin!

So this morning I’m watching my cooking shows and Rick comes into the room right when there is one of those diet commercials on – where they show several women in their underwear talking about their "smokin’ hot bodies"

I tell him my friend’s theory that they actually start off with thin actresses – take the ‘after’ pictures then have them gain 25 pounds for the ‘before’ pictures.

He looks at me and says – "Now come on. If YOU had a sm……" I could just see the panic in his eyes – there was no gracefully getting out that one.

He is taking his smokin’ hot wife out to lunch if he can get his foot out of his mouth.

I hope he buys you a scrumptiously good lunch …you certainly deserve it!
I guess we safely can say that we all have at some time or other put our foot in our mouths…and then you feel silly and bad. Well, I’m sure taking you out would be good for the both of you.
I enjoyed reading your blog and I just love your taste in decorating your home. Your husband sounds like mine and he rarely checks out my blog and only looked at it recently when it won blog of the day. He too very seldom notices new things in the house…ha ha. I guess that’s their male nature.
I wish that Victoria was still around. I always wanted to purchase that book and never got around to it. I should look for it at tag sales and second hand stores. I think it probably be quite expensive to buy out of print now thou.
I still do enjoy the peace and solitude of space but I agree the work is becoming too much. Gardens are work for sure but a joy to have.
