Under a Blue Moon

Decor, cooking, organization, all the pretty things

Carmel Valley

Picture_350

We had one of those perfect weekends.  We spent the day in Carmel Valley and Carmel on Saturday.  I had the new camera along – still uneasy with it but that didn’t stop me from taking a ton of pictures.

I was trying to make it look like we were travelling around the world and not just wandering around a garden decor shop.  I love these doors.  I would have them outside, leading to a secret garden room.

I just liked the peeling, crusty paint on this column.  It looks like something from Neptune’s watery castle.

Zen golfball holders.

Nicole wanted to take this one home but you had to buy the entire set.  For $600!  Not so zen.

How is this for a view?  You can see why we want to move here.

Cheeky little fellow.  Well I certainly can understand – it’s my favorite restaurant too.

Andrea, I visited Carmel years ago and would love to go back. Lucky you with the possibility of living there. Do you live near there now? Your pictures really do look like photos from around the world, your new camera takes great shots. Love the column and your discription of it, “Neptune’s watery castle” perfect. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.

I am a new blogger and was linked to your blog site by kathyscottage. I am captivated and inspired by your skill and ability to photograph such lovely stills. I have been to California but not to Carmel. I can see I need to go there. What scenery and very cool objects to see. I love the Zen boys and doors. The bike looks like it could be on a side street in Paris or Italy. Your site refreshes a busy soul on a hectic day.

Guess you must be up to speed with the new camera! I love your bleeding heart banner. That sounds rude, but you know what I mean–it is pretty.

Beautiful photos! I am trying to talk my hubby into visiting Carmel over the summer. We visited last year and I desperately want to go back.

How wonderful that you might move there. It is such a beautiful place.
