Here’s the teapot the way it was intended to be. At least in my mind. I’m sure the yellow metal cozy worked for some people. The colors are a little wonky in this picture because it’s kind of dark in the house this morning. The color of teapot is a pretty creamy yellow.
When I was on my Etsy bender a couple of weeks ago I bought a vintage hankie box from Beachy’s Cape Cod Cupboard. It arrived brimming with hankies, lacy and embroidered cocktail napkins, a lavender sachet, seashells and a bit of ephemera. All tied up with a bit of pretty lace.
Here it is with some of my collection already in place.
Well I should be packing – I’m heading to Seattle first thing tomorrow morning. I’m going for work but I’m determined to see the Space Needle and Pike’s Market and eat at fabulous restaurants while I’m there.
The customer I’m going to visit said they captured a bear in their parking lot last week. So of course I keep dreaming that bears have gotten into my house. Rick says to always have someone slower and tastier looking with me when walking around outdoors.
Yikes.

Now that was funny Rick! Have a safe trip and come back really fast.

OMG, I am gone for a few weeks and all these wonderful things turn up here, Andrea. I came here for eye candy and comforting words and now I want to go shopping.
Really, I find that when I get back from vacation I need to have a stash of extra cash for shopping – “comfort shopping,” I call it. I love the teapot!

Hi Andrea! What a beautiful little package you received from Beachy’s store, I love it all. Her items are always so beautifully put together ~ So, did you want to know my skin care regimen at the ripe ole’ age of 45? Dear, it is called blur out your wrinkles in the photo software on your computer, put an antique hue to it and sling it on your blog hoping that the dark circles under your eyes aren’t showing! xxoo, Dawn 🙂

Hi Andrea,
I am so missing home now! I grew up in Tacoma and raised our oldest 3 children in Federal Way. Your blog made me very sad for home and my folks. I just lost my father 3 months ago, your pictures bring back sweet memories.
Thank you,
Shelley
