LOL. Honestly? I love grays and all, but this is a little too textured. I’m going with dryer lint. Or what happens when you work with really coarse roving. If you’d like cat fur I’ve got plenty, and I suspect it would be sleeker.
Hmm, maybe you could put some of my dogs fur in there to jazz it up. I have a red/blonde Norwich and a black and tan Norwich. My rabbit would add a nice touch, she’s mostly gray, but I can you you some white from her tail or underside. It will take a while though, she’s not too big. She’s very soft.
Still its pretty like it is. And by the way, hilarious post.
Your sample looks a bit like newspaper that has been ground up. Or even more so, salt and pepper put together. That does not have to be a bad thing. After all, people used to carry around rabbit’s feet. And have real fur on toys and knick-knacks. So if you need more black, Milo our Briard has hair almost 18 inches long, and I am sure he would not mind you having a bit. 🙂

That’s funny! I think that once it is longer, it’ll look less linty and cat-hairy.
I rather like the yarn. I was checking out multi greys today, but I like your better.

What color is the coat you’re putting on with??? I kind of like it, but I think I would like it best against a dark color or even white. LindaSonia
I’m not very good at wearing grey, but it can look very elegant on others!
I like your selections ~ I’m thinking elegant.
(But we share a similar sense of humor about the cat hair aspect. Just can’t help it, I come from a family of self-effacing teasers.)
*grin* xo~m.
I think it might be too soon to say.
roflol about the cat hair idea, tho…

Actually I like it. Even if it does look like matted cat hair. I get lots of that around here if you’d like me to send you some!!
um, is that a new project? dryer lint in the ball…cat hair in the knitted (what Ithink is a new) project…
One hundred and seven year old spinster hair cut off for Locks of Love.
Oh my, I guess your readers aren’t too wild about the dryer lint/cat hair/ground up newspaper scarf. Well, I know Mom would have loved it.
