Isn't that a pretty mercury glass type ornament? I love the etching on it – I've never seen one like that before. I picked it up at Elegant Clutter in Danville last weekend. Only $5.95 too.
My first Christmas decoration purchase of the year! I'm not counting the tiny little purchase I made last January because that was on After Christmas Clearance and clearly does not count.
See Nicki? It is a silver tree, and not a pink one. Honestly. Pink? I've come to the realization that when it comes to Christmas decoration I'm a silver, white and crystal person all the way. No traditional red and green for me. Oh – I'll make the occasional foray into gold but it just doesn't thrill me like the silver does.
We are going to be short changed on holiday decorating days since Thanksgiving is so late this year. Unless some of us throw caution to the wind and actually start decorating BEFORE Thanksgiving.
Could happen.
I've been pouring over this issue of Somerset Studio. So many creative and inpsiring projects in there. That's probably why I'm in such a holiday mood.

No. Not too soon. I appreciate Thanksgiving like everyone else, but Christmas is bigger. It just is! I might as well embrace it and quit griping that the decorations are coming out too early. The holidays are all one happy season to me. And I love your silver tree and decorations!

I love silver better too!! Beautiful ornament. I will probably decorate Thanksgiving weekend.
Liz says
Too soon? Most definitely not! I love your ornament (and how we can see you in it!).

What a pretty ornament! I gave into temptation yesterday and bought some gorgeous crystal snowflakes. I’m soooo ready to put the tree up, maybe I’ll do it this week!
Julie says
I know someone who put up her tree already!!! Way too soon. It is hard enough having Christmas-themed craft show stuff out already.
Mari at Once Upon a Plate says
Not too soon!
Andrea, I wish you would just buy double ~ I would gladly reimburse you, plus a finder’s fee. 🙂
I love when you share your wonderful discoveries with us.
Psst… come see, I have a little something for you:
