You'll notice a new feature on the left-hand side bar. Unfinished Projects. I think I talked about doing this a while back and, as I am wont to do, I promptly forgot about doing it.
I must be feeling the need for organization today.
So basically it is this: I will have a new category called Unfinished Projects that I will make a concentrated effort to complete. Then I can start a new category called Finished Projects. Isn't that a novel idea? Finishing something?
If you want to see my original posts they are here:
Apron
Christmas Table-topper
Crazy Quilt Square
Embroidered Pillow
Morning Glory Table-topper
Table Runner
Two Color Quilt Challenge
Valentine Table-topper
Yo Yo's
I will work on them in no particular order, just as the mood strikes me. And with the exception of the Yo Yo quilt – which I will NEVER finish and my great grandchildren will have to sell my box of loose yo yo's at an estate sale – I will not begin any NEW projects until I have knocked these off my list.
Except for the scarf I just started this morning and will add to the list later.
Now I'm feeling kind of nervous and twitchy about saying no new projects. I may have to amend that to new project only when I complete one of the unfinished ones first.
So any particular project you want to see me work on first?

I am terrible at finishing things, so I applaud this idea of yours. Maybe I’ll do it too? Maybe after the holidays?
I think we all do that! I know I do. SOmetimes halfway through a project another project starts brewing in my head and I just have to start it. Maybe you should do the Christmas table topper since it’s almost Christmas:>)
Oh, I love this – I’m so glad to see someone else has as many unfinished projects as I do. Although, your projects look much more complicated than any of mine, which means I have even less excuses to get on with mine, really… I vote for the Table Runner – the felt one – I was looking at that post the other day and thinking how lovely it is, and wondering what had happened to it. Good luck with them all.
I vote for the Christmas table topper since you can use that shortly. Then the apron…just because I want to see the cuteness you make of it.
Just channel your inner Martha and get your craft on!
I say pick the one that you can finish the quickest, then you’ll feel proud of yourself and feel the need to complete another one!
>I will not begin any NEW projects until I have knocked these off my list.
HA HA HA HA HA!!!….
Good idea – I only realised yesterday that next week is the start of Advent, and I still haven’t gotten around to replacing the hangers on the Advent calendar I made last year (last year’s hanging method did not work). I should put up a permanent list of everything I want to finish in the next few months.
Do the apron first – it should be fairly quick & you can have the virtuous feeling of having finished something quickly.
I had a good laugh reading your post about having so many unfinished projects. I can definitely relate to that. I am 100% unlike my 92 year old mum who CANNOT start a new project until she has finished the one before. I have noticed that she doesn’t seem to enjoy the process, but is always in the “I can’t wait to finish this and get it out of the house” mode. Whereas I enjoy having several (understatement) projects to choose from. Nevertheless, I need help to finish, and publicly displaying my UFOs might be just the thing!
