I've made a couple of changes on how I accept comments. First of all I appreciate each and every one of you that take the time to comment on something I post. Your feedback means the world to me.
However, as of late, I've been getting more and more spam type comments (some even leaving links to very unsavory websites). So I've done two things.
First I've removed that doohickey that makes you enter in randmomly generated letters (it's not stopping the spam – so why bother?) so hopefully that will make the process a little quicker for you.
Secondly, I have added comment moderation - I'll be approving each comment before it is posted. I'll try to be quick about it and I can weed out all the inappropriate comments, sparing you from innocently clicking on a link and then having to scrub out your minds eye because of what you have seen.

I had the same problem you did. I put my dohicky back on where you type the funny word (great description) and I haven’t had any more problems — yet. If I do, I’ll do as you have done and do comment moderation.
Comment moderation is the way to go. There are sure some crazies out there.
