Or how I spent my Saturday.  Such a glamorous life I lead.

There was an old lean-to shed type thing on our property that we have never ever used.  It was a gift from the previous owner.  We really couldn't see it from our house or deck so we could easily ignore it.

Our neighbor (that lives behind us) said that he would help Rick tear it down with his backhoe/tractor thingie on Saturday so we could haul it to the dump. It was an eyesore for sure and their back patio looked right at it. It had a ton of ancient firewood, old cabling and lord knows what else in there other than a bobillion black widow spiders. And it is surrounded by waist high weeds where the ticks love to hang out.

Yep. I got to help. I was out there covered from head to toe with my wellies on and sprayed to an inch of my life with bug spray.  I thought one of us was going to die this weekend. Probably me. Bugs seem to love to bite me.

It took two dump runs to get rid of all the ancient crud that was in there.  We started on another ancient pile of lumber left from an old deck (again, a gift from the previous owner) but after Rick picked up a board and it had three scorpions on it we kind of lost our enthusiasm.

Here's the job foreman surveying the demolition site.

This week I promise I'll have some prettier posts.

Where was this shed? Was it the old thing behind where the goats lived?

Hope the job foreman didn’t get a tick on her. Or the writer of the post for that matter. Ewww! Shudders! Spiders and scorpions and ticks…oh my!

Where will the spiders and scorpions be living now? That would worry me……..
