I made a good luck charm bracelet. Jewelry making seems like it would be really soothing and a great creative outlet. Unfortunately it requires a lot of fine motor skills which I don't seem to possess.
This project was fun though – mostly in the research and collecting of the charms. I made it for someone that could use a little extra good luck and positive mojo right now.
- 3 keys – three keys worn together symbolise the unlocking of the doors to health, wealth and love
- Ankh- symbolizes the power of life- it is also commonly worn when going into battle for good luck
- 4 leaf clover – each leaf represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck.
- Horseshoe – there are two thoughts – one is to have the ends pointing up to catch good luck and the other is to have them pointing down so the luck spills out over the home (or wearer in this case)
- Heart – the classic symbol of love, also symbolizes feminine power
- Elephant – the elephant symbolizes wisdom, good luck, strength and power
- Wishbone – symbol of good luck and wishes coming true
- Ladybug – ladybugs are good omens. It is believed you will have good luck if one lands on you
- Star – in ancient times it was believed good fortunes were determined by the stars.
- Bee – a symbol of hope, and also diligence and hard work

What a charming post! Thanks for sharing all of the research you did in preparation for putting a great little bracelet together. I really like it. Yes, I think jewelry making could be a lot of fun. But, I guess it can get quite tedious with the tiny objects. Oh my, I said “charming” in the first sentence. That was totally coincidental! Take Care.

Does this mean you’ll be on etsy soon? 😉

Andrea,
Thanks so much for making this exquisite charm bracelet for Camille. She will love it and wear it for the good positive mojo that she needs right now. The fact that her wonderful aunt made it especially for her makes it all the more special. I love you , you’re the best!
