Happy Monday. I trust everyone had a lovely weekend. My best friend drove up on Friday and stayed the weekend. The conversation and the wine flowed quite freely so I'm moving a little slower this morning than usual.
She and I have been friends since our early 20's. She was introduced to Rick and me when she started dating one of Rick's friends. They ended up getting married and then divorced and she got to keep us in the divorce settlement.
Daisies are her favorite flower so I always try to have some daisy-like flowers in the guest room for her.
We hit up a couple of antique shops while she was here but the pickings were rather slim. I did find a footed milk glass bowl to add to my collection. I also picked up a vintage tablecloth and a brass candlestick.
Before she arrived on Friday I was working on my lounge chair slip cover but my sewing machine is giving me fits. It keeps skipping stitches like the top thread isn't catching the bottom thread. I've rethreaded, rebobbined and changed out the needle but to no avail. I think I need to take it in for a tune up.
Well that's all I've got for you today. It's time to get dressed and head into work. Have a wonderful week!

I just noticed that your sofa upholstery is the same as my mother’s, such a beautiful fabric! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend with your friend, and how thoughtful of you to have her favorite flower in her room. The rhythm of your life just seems so relaxed and perfect for you. It’s always a joy to spend a moment a few times a week with you! And I don’t mean that in a stalker/creepy kind of way! LOL

Aww that is so nice to hear – and not stalker/creepy at all! Ha!
Believe me though – I have plenty of not so relaxing days that I spare everyone from.

Don’t we all? I’m sure you could share the good, bad and ugly here and you would get nothing but support. That was the one thing I found when I was blogging…and I miss that. I fell out of the habit of blogging and haven’t gone back. I miss it, but not enough to try to carve time out of my day to start again. At least not yet!
