Under a Blue Moon

Ready for summer! ◊ Untitled ◊ Pastel Tree ◊ part from my sweet home <3

Hello and Happy Summer Solstice!

No favorites today.  The interwebs have not been inspiring me lately so I thought I would just do a little chatty post for today.

I have started walking for 45 minutes every day.  My goal is to get up to an hour but I just started and my hips aren’t very thrilled about it so 45 minutes it is for now.  Since the beginning of the year I have put on 8 lbs. and I’m determined to bid them adieu along with a few of their friends by the end of the year.  I worked so hard to lose all that weight a year ago and I refuse to gain it all back.  I need to go back to what was working for me back then which is weighing myself daily (controversial, I know), tracking everything I eat and walking.   I was hoping I could get to a point where my eating and exercise habits would just be second nature and I wouldn’t even have to think about it.  Unfortunately my natural disposition is sloth-like and to eat all the food so I have to be extra vigilant.

Okay enough of that.

We are toying with the idea of taking a drive to Carmel tomorrow to hit up one of our favorite nurseries (Griggs Nursery).  I want to get a geranium and they have the best variety.  The only ones I can find around here are hot pink and I want a pale pink one.   They also have a great selection of house plants.  I’m hoping we can find a nice restaurant on the ocean for lunch.  That should make for a nice outing.

Still no news on the job front. I have two fires in the iron at the moment.  I’m just waiting for the next round of interviews to be scheduled.  It is such a long and drawn out process, looking for work.  And even after months of promising leads and interviews it still can end in nothing so while I’m hopeful something will work out I’m also getting quite demoralized by the whole thing.  I know I would be a great asset to a company, should one give me the opportunity.

Enough of that too.

I hope you have a splendid weekend!

It’s okay to get frustrated. I know it sucks while you are waiting and wondering why you are passed over. Something will change soon or you’ll win the lottery. 🙂 Thinking about you!

Thank you sweetie! There are some positive things brewing so fingers crossed and all that! We had a lovely visit with Eva this weekend. What a lovely person and kind person she is. And I’m so happy she was able to come for Gwen’s birthday party. Gwen was over the moon!

Instagram post 2340945580020536121_13069943 Guess who is getting some Grandma time this weekend! Rick thought this was a little over the top but I just wanted to fulfill my Holiday fairy tent fantasies.
Instagram post 2340488496363792013_13069943 I ran out of day (and daylight) to take a real photo so you get a pithy saying instead. Happy weekend! You are all dear to me. Just thought you should know that.
