I don’t mean to be missing in action here. We had a flurry of visitors over the past five days so there hasn’t been anytime (or anything) to really post about. I had the intention to share a fabulous roasted tomato tart that I made but I forgot to take any photographs after it came out of the oven! I’ll save that for next week.
My mother in law came on Friday and stayed until Sunday. We had a very low-key weekend with her. We went out for a nice, leisurely lunch on Saturday and hit up our favorite local nursery.
After she left on Sunday my best friend came up for a visit. It was an impromptu trip, decided upon once she heard I would be starting back up to work on the 22nd. We spent Monday in Soquel and Capitola visiting a few antique stores and having lunch al fresco right on the ocean.
The rest of the week will be spent assessing my wardrobe situation (I have no idea what the dress code is like but I’m aiming for business casual) and figuring out what my commute will be like. I’m planning on doing a test drive tomorrow or Thursday at commute time so I can get a feel for how much time I’ll need. Goodness I guess I am going to have to get used to setting an alarm again!
