Easter is less than three weeks away. I prefer it when Easter falls later in the month of April. The weather is always so much more reliable.
I shared my coffee table styling a couple of weeks ago. The only addition I have made was to place this handsome pair of rabbits on the mantel. I bought them at Joann’s a few years ago when they were marked down considerably. I love how simple and non-cutesy they are.
I really need to do something about that shelf that is reflected in the mirror. It needs a bit of a refresh. I have a Christmas cactus up there where the cats can’t get to it but it just never really does anything. I don’t think it gets enough light so it isn’t blooming like it used to. And the dark lanterns just look kind of dreary. I’ll have to sort that out soon.
It is truly Spring here in Northern California. We are getting some rain this week but the temperatures are warmer and things are really starting to bloom in the garden.
Like this beautiful camellia which we purchased solely for the name. It is called “In the Pink.” When you ask my dad how he is doing he always cheerfully says “Why I’m in the pink!”
Our lilacs are starting to bud out and should put on a great display in a couple more weeks. I cannot wait for that.
I have a confession – I never did cut back our roses this year. I was sick almost all of March and now they all have a ton of new growth on them. I think I’m just going to fertilize them really well this weekend and hope for the best. I’ll try to do a good cut back after their first flush of blooms.
